Biography

Louis Ravel est né le 22 Août 1922 dans un petit village provençal, à La Crau dans le département du Var. Après avoir été initié par son professeur local, il sera par la suite admis à l’école de Chefs de musique militaire de Clermont-Ferrand. Il en sortira Major de sa promotion. Le conservatoire de Toulon lui décernera le prix Hippolyte Duprat, et il obtiendra les premiers prix de fugue, de contrepoint, d’harmonie et de composition. Très inspiré par Mozart, Tchaïkovski et Chopin, ces plus belles oeuvres seront composées durant les années 80.
