The Original Maestro

What can I say except the man was a genius in every sense of the word. I hope I'm fortunate enough to every one of his compositions. The greatest composer of all time! Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, is it not one of the greatest names too?

Classic Music, Forever Known

I still can't believe he made an original, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star had 25 variations, simply beautiful.

[by “Anonymous” on 2010-05-03 19:05:33]

He has more pieces in major keys than not, as does nearly every composer. I think people forget some of his best works such as piano concerto no. 20 and 24.

Wow!

That WAS good composing, Mozart! I salute you!

He is not only musical genius, his music analysis makes me to wonder whether he is just a composer or more than it...a mathemetician. Only very few composer's work induces brian cells in positive way. Motzarts are of such kind, whose work mostly based on Major scales...

He was so genius, so brilliant, so amazing, he had no other choice but to go simply crazy.

[by “Anonymous” on 2009-04-30 10:01:20]

he was simply brilliant, He composed some of the most beautiful music I've ever heard

[by “Anonymous” on 2009-03-06 19:41:24]

I quite agree with you. He did do a great job though.

Short Lifes for A Genius

He could have been writing more amazing works if he had more years to live..

Köchel’s Catalogue of Mozart compositions

(This list was downloaded from ftp://ftp.gmd.de/. I slightly edited it to make it more readable. I also corrected some obvious mistakes and added a little extra info. <js>)

The numbering of the works generally used for reference, to avoid confusion, is that of Köchel’s Thematic Catalogue before the revision and renumbering by Alfred Einstein in 1937 in the light of later research. The dates, however, are here corrected according to Einstein, and therefore occasionally appear in altered sequence (some dates remain conjectural). Those who wish to pursue further "fragmentary", "copied", "doubtful", "spurious", or "lost" items are referred to the exhaustive (and scholarly) Köchel–Einstein appendix.

Life

Son of Leopold, father of Franz Xaver.
