Court residence since 1675 (castle destroyed) - in 1751 the prince of Hildburghausen lived in Vienna and supported Carl Ditters, the later composer Ditters von Dittersdorf - in 1796 appearance of the theatre company of Franz Anton Weber; his 10 years old son Carl Maria entrusted to piano teacher Heuschkel for more than a year.
