, renovated in 1857 in neo-gothic style; Berlioz, Brahms, Verdi, Tchaikovsky, R. Strauss, Mahler conducted here. The nice interior burnt out in 1943; renovated in 1955, until 1986 main concert hall. - The Carnival balls take place here.
