      Surely, there is a version that Franz Schubert set music to Der Erlkonig, but the poem was written by Goethe. Beethoven wrote a sketch which was enough for an editor to edit and publish. This would be an edition based on the SKETCH of Beethoven.

      Yes, Beethoven too!

      Franz Schubert wrote the famous Erlkönig-song, but Beethoven also wrote a version for this song on the same text by Goethe. However, Beethoven never finished this song.
