Adding concerts to a map
Dear %3% (%2%),
Test version of concert map
For members of the Classical Composers Database, it is now posible to add a map location to your concert announcements, thus showing the concerts on a map. This can be done by looking up an address from a list of known locations.
Alternatively, if the location is not yet in the list, you can provide the new address, determine its coordinates with an easy form, and then add it. Upon submitting, the location and the concert are added to the list instantaneously.
The map with classical music concerts is shown on the page with upcoming concerts: http://www.classical-composers.org/page/concerts. Only concerts that were added in the new way are shown on the map. (The list on the left still shows all concerts.)
If this all made you curious, and you have a concert to add, you can try it yourself here: http://www.classical-composers.org/submit/event. Remember: you need to log in first!
Please note that this is still a test version; some small problems are not unlikely. Let me know about your experiences!
As an extra the concert is also shown in the Wikitude MusicAtlas World, and on the MusicAtlas Web App. This way people will be able to see your concert on their smartphone (e.g. iPhone, Android) when they check the Classical Music places in their neighbourhood. See http://www.classical-composers.org/page/apps for more information.
