On 10 May the Tehran Conservatory of Music will honor the Hungarian composer Zoltán Kodály.
On that day, a group of Hungarian envoys, conservatory director Bezad Moafi, musician Homa Sadat-Afsari, and Tehran Symphony Orchestra conductor Nader Mashayekhi are scheduled to deliver several speeches.
During the program, a group of conservatory students will also perform some pieces composed by Kodály, who was not only a composer, but also an ethnomusicologist, a music educator, a linguist and a philosopher.
