All these composers are related to Jan Jiři [Johann Georg] Benda (1686–1757) and Dorota Brixi, whose son Jiři Benda is probably the most famous of the family.
There were — and still are, such as the ensemble “The Benda Musicians”, which recorded works of all three on “Music of the Benda Family” — many musical relatives and offspring, including various minor composers.
