Music

Zellbell composed one opera, one opera balet, cantatas, four symfonies and several concerts. Telemann’s influence is generally notable in his works.

Life

Son of Ferdinand Zellbell (der Ältere), from whom he received his first music lessons. He studied withTelemann in Hamburg. He ten followed up his father as Hofkapellmeister in 1751 and as organist in the Storkirkan in Stockholm in 1753. From 1772 till 1774 he was leader of the Königliche Musikakademie from Sweden.
