Widor composed 10 symphonies, several with organ, piano and cello concertos, chamber music, numerous organ works, one ballet (La Korrigane), one opera (Les Pêcheurs de Saint-Jean).

Life
He was organ player at the Saint Sulpice in Paris. Succeeded César Franck at the Paris Conservatory for organ. He published a book about "La musique grecques et les Chants de l’Eglise latine".
