Biography

Elizabeth Walling is a Composer, songwriter and musician based in Brighton and London where she regularly performs as a solo artist, and with her band, A Scandal in Bohemia. See Shows for passed and upcoming gigs.

Classically trained at the University of Sussex, Elizabeth has performed (and been performed) in several festivals and events across the UK, including; Soundwaves Festival 2007/2008, Brighton Live Festival 2006 and 2007, Adur Festival 2006, Brighton Fringe Festival 2006, Brighton Early Music Festival 2005, and the University of York Spring Festival of New Music in 2004.

As well as writing for a a range of ensembles, vocalists, and solo performers, Elizabeth has performed alongside composers, musicians, and bands spanning a diverse range of musical genres; Fung Lam (Composer and cellist), Jane Chapman (SPNM Sound Source), A Silver Mount Zion (Canadian post-rock band, Constellation records), Pram (experimental band, Domino Records), Frank Chickens, The London Sinfonietta, [rout], Talkestra, Le Basile (Brighton Early Music Festival), Juice vocal trio, Black Hair, and performers from the 21st Century ensemble (University of Sussex).
