Life
He studied philosophy at the Olomouc University, and from 1778 till 1782 he studied music and law in Brno.
As a composer, Antonín Vranický was a pupil of Mozart, Haydn and Albrechtsberger. He received violin lessons from his brother Pavel Vranický.
He was Kapellmeister with Fürst Lobkowitz, and in 1807 became director of the emperor’s court orchestra. In 1814 Vranický became conductor at the “Theater an der Wien” in Vienna.
