Biography

Bruno Vlahek is a young Croatian pianist and composer, born in Zagreb, 1986. He won many highest prizes at the most relevant piano competitions in Croatia and also in abroad. He was a Croatian representative at the EPTA’s congresses in Tromsø (Norway) and Budapest (Hungary). As a scholarship holder of the international foundation "Vladimir Spivakov", he represented Croatia at the concerts held in Moscow in 2002.

Bruno Vlahek has attended numerous seminars with renowned piano pedagogues (Peter Eicher, Noel Flores, Einar Steen-Nokleberg, Alberto Portugheis...) In addition to his performances as a soloist and as a member of chamber ensembles and orchestras (Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra, Symphony Orchestra of the Croatian Radio Television, Symphony Orchestra of the Music Academy of the University in Zagreb, Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra...) in Croatia, he also performed in Austria, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Norway, Russia, Serbia and Montenegro, Slovenia and Sweden. He recorded for the Croatian Radio Television, Hungarian Television and the Montenegrin Radio Television. He is the prizewinner of the Rector’s award of the University in Zagreb in academic year 2003/2004.
