Biography
He studied law at the Moscow University, and take private lessons with Grechaninov and Conus. He registered at the conservatory in 1895, and studied with Ippolitov-Ivanov, Sergey Taneyev and Safonov. He became profesor in the conservatory in 1906. He travelled much, in particular to Ukraine, ouzbekistan, and turkmeistan.
