John David Thomas has composed many styles of music: Contemporary, Classical, Baroque, Jazz, Jazz-rock, New Age, orchestral, solo piano, avant-garde, electronic and "musique concrete" music, movie-theme-style "soundtrack theme"-style, rock, sacred, ambient, industrial, meditative, futuristic, romantic, and so on. John David Thomas has a Bachelor’s degree in Music Theory & Composition (1976) from Ball State University, Muncie, Indiana, USA. He’s also been a lifelong musician, as well as lifelong composer, having played piano since age 4, which he also studied formally for 12 years!! He studied music composition with Dr. Ernesto Pellegrini (graduate of the Julliard School of Music in New York City, with degree in music composition there); Dr. Cleve Scott, from California; David Foley; Morris Knight. In his music performing career, he played in rock, variety, and jazz-rock bands for 10 years (playing keyboards), and played solo grand piano for a year (Oct. 1986–May 1987) at 2 Major, prominent high-class resorts in Scottsdale, Arizona area: The Clairion Inn/McCormick’s Ranch Resort, and The Boulders Resort (just north of Scottdale, AZ in Carefree, AZ)... he also played in orchestras for 14 years (cello) from 1960–1974. He continues to compose much new instrumental music on the piano, and will continue making recordings of his latest compositions for future release on forthcoming CDs!

Born March 30, 1951 in Muncie, Indiana, USA, grew up in Indianapolis, Indiana where he went to public school... was placed in an "accelerated program" for gifted children in fifth through eighth grades (1961–1965), and took extremely "heavy, difficult" academic courses throughout his academic years in high school and the 5 years of college at Purdue and Ball State Universities (1969–1974)... courses in French, philosophy, psychology, sociology, anthropology, astronomy, computer programming, calculus, physics, chemistry, biology, orchestra (14 years), music theory, music composition, music history... zillions of music courses!! He was married for 16 years (1974–1990), had 2 children in his marriage, and has been single/divorced for 11 years since 1990/1991... he has travelled "everywhere" in North America, and is a lifelong photographer, in addition to being a lifelong composer and musician... he’s also a published poet, a graphic designer, does his own arranging and orchestrations of his own compositions, produces his own recording projects of his compositions, and is also a recording, mixing, and mastering engineer for his own music projects!! He has played bridge and chess since an early age, also, and loves "the finer things of life" as "a Rennaisance Man" and "man of the world"... he is a total LOVER of all forms of beauty!! (Ladies, he is totally "available"!!) He wants to meet "the woman of my dreams", and eventually re-marry someday.
