Biography
Musical studies in Paris from 1842-47, among others by Frederic Chopin, who became a good friend. Toured England and Scotland together with Chopin. After Chopin’s death in 1849 Tellefsen took over many of Chopin’s students. His music is strongly influenced by Chopin, but also with some impulses from Norwegian folk music.
