• 6 May 1680 — born in Livorno, Italy to Giovanni Giacomo Stuck and Barbera Hellerbach
• 1702 — virtuoso cellist in the service of the Countess of Lemos in Naples
• 1705 — moves to Paris in the service of the Duke of Orléans
• 1707 — made “musicien ordinaire” by the Duke
• 1714–1715 — temporarily in the service of Elector Max Emanuel of Bavaria
• 18 December 1718 — made “musicien ordinaire” of the Royal Chapel
• 17 November 1727 — marries Bonne-Françoise Bérain, daughter of Louis XIV’s court painter
• June 1733 — becomes French citizen
• 1741 — his wife dies childless
• 8 December 1755 — dies in Paris
