Music for French Horn: Fantasie über den Sehnsuchtswalzer für Horn und Orchester; Nocturno für Horn und Klavier opus 7 in des dur; Konzert für Horn und Orchester opus 8 in c moll.

Biography

Played many different instruments, but his favourite was the French Horn. He started playing instruments as a very young boy. Member of the Bavarian Court Orchestra and Musical Academy. Professor by the Academy of Music in Munich. Chamber Musician for King Ludwig II. Franz Strauss was a great music teacher. His son was Richard Strauss (from his second wive — the first died — from the Georg Pschorr familiy).
