Music



Apart from a couple of song cycles there is a symphony (no. 1 in c minor), a piano quartet, a concert overture and an opera in 3 Acts — "Arria" (1846) — which was premiered in Kassel in 1847.

Life

Staehle was one of Spohr’s last pupils. He was friendly with Gade and the Schumanns.
