Rudesindo Soutelo was born in Tui (Galiza) at 29 February, 1952. He studied at the Conservatoire of Vigo, Madrid and Schaffhausen (Suiça) with Rodolfo Halffter and Agustín González de Acilu in composition, and with Janos Meszaros in bassoon.
In 1972 he establishes the “Juventudes Musicais de Vigo” and in 1976 with the group Letrinae Musica it presents in Compostela and calls the movement “New neo new-dadá Square of Pi” to shake the disgrace that had put the excrementíssimo to bed in the country dictator. In 1980 it was believing the publisher of musical Art Tripharia where it produces a spacious catalogue of scores and in the present the Corpus Musicum Gallaeciae publishes. Also it promoted controversial magazines like “La Matraca”, done by students of the Real Conservatory S. of Music of Madrid, and “Of the Capo” (musical Pamphlet independiente del country).
Together with Janos Meszaros Soutelo made preparations in 1986 for the project for an international school of music in the historical set of Nuevo Baztán, people and baroque palace for Churriguera 45 km from Madrid, but the rivalries of the political mediocrity frustrated any success.
Some of the titles of his works as the Oppius I gave that it seems to them to have a belligerent intencionalidade, but they are only a way something irreverent, amusing and resonant of laughing at the capelinhas of mediocre ones that control the music. All his work is published by Art Tripharia. In any case it has been publishing a collection of 93 articles on cultured music and the political Galician unculture appeared in the section “The Bard in the Brêtema” of the Galician weekly publication A Our Land, and in the Conversations of the Lusofonia celebrated in Bragança in October 2006 he presented a communication on the Corpus Musicum Gallaeciae. This was also published in A Our Land.
