Robert W Smith Is the best composer there is!!! He has written the best songs and the most fun songs to play!!!! Me and other kids this year get to play his songs from The Divine Comedy called Paradiso!!!! That song is very fun but super hard at times!!! Anyway just to sum things up...I love all of his music so much!!!

Life

College Band Director - USA.

Robert W. Smith (b. 1958) is one of the most popular and prolific composers of concert band and orchestral literature in America today. He has over 400 publications to his name, with the majority composed and arranged through his long association with Warner Bros. Publications. He received a Bachelor of Music Education from Troy State University (AL) and a Master of Music from the University of Miami (FL).

His original works for both the concert band and orchestra have been performed throughout the world. His first two symphonies (The Divine Comedy and The Odyssey) have captured the imaginations of musicians and audiences in North America, Europe, Australia and Asia. The Tempest and other works for the developing ensemble have become standards in the band repertoire. As a conductor and clinician, Mr. Smith has performed across the United States, and in Canada, Japan, Australia, Italy, Austria and the United Kingdom.

His compositions and arrangements have been used in a variety of situations including major television network broadcasts. From the welcoming ceremonies in Japan honoring President Ronald Reagan to Opening Day at Dodger Stadium. ...from the opening of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade telecast to the Ringling Bros. Barnum & Bailey Circus and the Olympic games, his music is widely accepted by all ages.
