Biography

Siloti was teacher of pianist and composer Rachmaninoff.


Dr. Charles Baker has written a 400 pp. book about Siloti, to be published by Rowman and Littlefield on 28 June 2002. “Lost in the Stars — The Forgotten Musical Career of Alexander Siloti” includes a complete works list of the 205 compositions he has been able to trace. He also wrote the New Grove 2000 entry on Siloti/Ziloti.
