Jirayr Shahrimanyan began his musical education at the age of 7 studying in Avet Gabrielyan music school piano and later composition. During 2003–04 he took private lessons of composition and theory from Martin Israelyan. Since 2004 till present he is a student of composition department in Komitas State Conservatory in Yerevan (prof. M. Israelyan’s class). Since that he plays active role in musical life of his country. He already had two self-portrait concerts and regulary works with Yerevan State Solists ensemble (conductor Zaven Vardanyan), “Alan Hovhaness” string orchestra (conductor Meruzhan Simonyan) amoung others.

Abroad he had performances in France (2007) and in USA (2008). New performances are planning in this year.
