I am not sure that this picture is Senfl. If he was dead by 1543 he probably didn't live long enough to be in the ruff-wearing era; also if you look at the drawing of him in the 1520s by Hans Schwarz his face has an entirely different bone structure. I would welcome comments on this!

Biography

Sang in court choir of Maximilian I; the most illustrious pupil of Heinrich Isaac; served as court composer in Isaac’s absence; appointed official composer after Isaac’s death in 1517; appointed to similar position in Bavarian court in 1519. (Thanks Jim Anderson <74563.71compuserve.com>)
