Life

Capable ("tüchtig") violinist.

He was pupil and son in law of Karl Wilhelm Uhlrich in Sondershausen. In 1874 he also became a pupil of Johann Christoph Lauterbach in Dresden.

He was "Musikdirektor" (director of a musical society) in Sondershausen and lateron became "Konzertmeister" (Leader) in Magdeburg. From 1884 onwards he was "Hofkonzertmeister" (Leader of the orchestra at the court) in Dessau.
