Biography

Enkele biografische gegevens:

Studeerde aan het Amsterdams Conservatorium orgel bij Cornelis de Wolf en compositie bij Sem Dresden.

In 1942 werd hij benoemd tot cantor-organist van de Grote of St-Joriskerk in Amersfoort, en later directeur van de Toonkunst Muziekschool en dirigent van het Toonkunstkoor.

Doceerde kerkmuziek aan het Koninklijk Conservatorium in Den Haag, en ook later ook aan het Rotterdams Conservatorium.

Componeerde melodieën voor het Hervormde Gezangboek uit 1938, en een twintigtal voor het Liedboek voor de Kerken.
