Repaying A Debt

Late American Schumann scholar John Daverio, writing in the preface to his 1997 biography of the composer, said that he "felt the need to repay a debt to an artist who has given me untold happy hours as a listener to and performer of his music." I feel that same need. - Robert N. Hallquist, D.M.A.
