- Schickele “discovers” new PDQ Bach music
[posted 29 January 2008]It took professor Schickele over ten years, but finally there is now a new album with new music from PDQ Bach. This CD is called “The Jekyll and Hyde Show.” It includes recent P.D.Q. “discoveries,” e.g. the "Four Next-to-Last Songs" and a string quartet with subtitle “The Moose.”

Music
Peter Schickele is the man behind P.D.Q. Bach’s satirical music. He also wrote modern-style music under his own name. Schickele also wrote the music for “Silent Running”, a 1972 film starring Bruce Dern.
