- “Sextet” (1970/73). First NY Performance by Speculum Musicae in May, 1973 in Alice Tully Hall, New York, New York.
- Most recent music: “Timpani Solo II” commissioned by Calabrese Brothers, LLC, a music publisher, on behalf of Peter Jarvis, a percussionist, to be included in a collection of timpani solos edited by Mr. Jarvis.
Life
Born in Brooklyn, New York, March 6, 1948, Mr. Saperstein has written extensively for percussion, in addition to works for solo piano, chamber music, electronic music and orchestral works.
