Claudio Santoro dedicated himself to the Dodecafonism, but around 1943, went to the Musical National style. He composed many masterworks in this period, inserting popular themes in classic structures. Some works of this period are the Symphony No. 4 and the Paulistanas (1953) for the piano. About 1960 years, he back to the Dodecafonism, doing in the last years, experiences acoustic-visual. Santoro composed some “Quadros Aleatorios” (Randon Paintings), compositions formed a recorded part in a magnetic tape and another part by his own paintings. He composed about eight symphonies, three concerts fro the piano, chamber music and the ballet Cobra Norato (Norato Snake — 1967), about an indian legend.
