Music

Tom Salvatori composes a deeply personal and intimate style of guitar-based instrumental music, which is quiet and soothing and helps people relax at the end of the day. Adults and children both listen to and enjoy his music during their quiet time or while they fall asleep at night. Recently published by Les Production D’Oz (Canada), Salvatori hopes to share his booklet of eleven guitar solos with classical guitarists after they come home from playing their concerts: “I don’t aim to compete with the masters and their virtuoso efforts from the concert stage. Rather, I’d love for my work to be thought of as a resource for quiet enjoyment… a respite for the end of a busy day. I would be most fulfilled, as a composer, if my work could be enjoyed in an intimate, one-on-one relationship with other players… at home, late at night, when they decide to reach for just the right piece to help them (and their loved ones) relax when evening falls.”

Salvatori’s CDs are currently released independently thorough his own record label, Salvatori Productions. Five titles are available through his salvatoriproductions.com web site (Under Cover of Darkness (1995), Invoking the Veiled Reference (1997), Whispering for Your Attention (1998), Late Night Guitar (2002) and the new release When Evening Falls (2007) – a collaborative effort with UK based pianist/composer Iris Litchfield. Tom’s 2002 release “Late Night Guitar” debuted at #2 on the NAV Top 100 Radio Play Charts in August, 2002, and continued dominating top radio play honors through the end of the year. The CD was also named 2002 Winner of the prestigious Children’s Music Web Award in the “Classic Recording for Children” category.

Editorial Review:

Product Description:
About the Artist:
August 2002: 'Late Night Guitar' debuts at #2 on the New Age Voice Top 100 Radio Play List!
Named Winner of the 2002 Children's Music Web Award; 'Classic Recording for Children,' Category.
Tom Salvatori plays and composes his original music on nylon string classical guitar. Melodic, quiet, and minimal in styling, Tom is not at all intent on stretching the boundaries of difficulty.
Purpose. Direction. Intent. Tom Salvatori's talent is interpreting our life and times with acoustically presented awareness. A minimalist in that Tom isn't flailing away in wonder of his own identity; not because he lacks for talent, depth, or degree of difficulty. On the contrary, he exhibits strength in restraint, and intensity through the vivid power of mindfulness he presents in his compositions. Salvatori layers his instrumentals with a beautiful variety of fingerstyle techniques, orchestrated to define each work as needed. - Artguitect Radio, June, 2000
Product Description:
Beautiful, timeless all-original, all-instrumental guitar based lullaby oriented CD featuring flute, oboe, cello and piano accompaniment from prominent arrangers in the mp3.com community, Nashville, and Chicago. Quiet and relaxing. Warm, lush melodies.
