Biography

Born in 1959 at Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec, Canada. After having straddled the world of litterature and fine arts for several years, Stephane Roy chose to devote himself fully to electroacoustic music. The maleable richness of certain pictorial workd sparked his imagination and strongly influence his concept of an aoustimatic art. Unstable spaces, kineticism of sonic forms, shimmering vibrations of colors and contrasts of characters have dominated his compositions ever since.

Awarded: Newcomp (1989), Luigi Russolo (Italy, 1989, 1992), Bourges (France, 1991, Noroit-L
