Life

Constantin Reindl was born on June 29, 1738 in Jettenhofen (Oberpfalz). He was the son of Georg Anton and Anna Maria Barbara Theresia Ulbelacker. He entered the Jesuit order in Landsberg in 1756. He studied philosophy and theology at the Universities of Ingolstadt and Freiburg. In 1762 he was a prefect in Dillingen. From 1763 to 1765 he was music director in Luzern. He was ordained a priest in 1769 in Eichstatt. In 1770 he was a professor at the college in Freiburg. From 1771–90, he was professor and music prefect at the Jesuit college of St. Xavier in Luzern.
