Music



He was not very successful with his operas, but his operettas were great successes. Especially his operetta L’acqua cheta was rated highly. First performance on 27 November 1920 in Rome. It is based on a comedy by Augusto Novelli, a writer of pieces in the dialect of Toscane.

Life

Pietri got his musical education at the Conservatory of Milan, where he studied harmony and counterpoint. After these studies he began to compose, almost exclusively for the music theater.
