Life
Maestro Giacomo Antonio Perti was born in Bologna from a middle-upper class family in 1661. He studied music very early, learning harpsichord and counterpoint. When he was just 17 he had already written a 8-voice Magnificat and started his first Melodramma Atide. He is famous for his sacred repertory. He was even the teacher of Martini and Torelli.
