Biography

Was born, worked, died in Philidelphia. He was a composer, pianist, editor, teacher, and critic.

Joseph Anikewich <joeatotal-web.com> adds: He was one of the best modern composers of the 20th Century. Also that he taught at Julliard School of music for over 40 years. In that time he had such students such as Thelonius Monk, Philip Glass and numerous others... Actually too many to mention.
