Life
Nothing is known of Parsons before he joined the Chapel Royal in 1563. He wrote music for the English rite and in Latin. As a member of the Chapel Royal, he would have known Thomas Tallis, and probably also William Byrd, who suceeded him as a member. He died by drowning in the River Trent at Newark (England).
