The Musical Director of Radio Free Europe in Munich, Germany from 1950 to 1957, Vaclav Nelhybel began his career as a conductor at Radio Prague and the City Theater of Prague, Czechoslovakia from 1939 to 1942. Mr. Nelhybel emigrated to the United States in 1957, and became a U.S. citizen in 1962.
