Life
Spanish composer Jua Navarro was a student of Cristóbal de Morales. He was maestro de capilla in Málaga (1551), Ávila (1565), Salamanca (1567–1570), Ciudad Rodrigo (1570–1578) and Palencia (1578–1580). He is seen as one of the most important polyfonists of the Andalusian school of the Renacimiento. He composed psalms, hymns and madrigals.
