He was a pupil of Tartini. Then he became the orchestral leader at Stuttgart. He came back to Italy when he heard that Tartini was ill. He was with his teacher during the last few years of Tartini’s life. Then he became the musical director at the ducal court of Tuscany.
He composed several violoin concertos and sonatas in the pre-classical style.
