Life

Alexandr Morduhovich - the composer, winner of diplomas at the international and All-Russian Contests, the senior lecturer of the Magnitogorsk State Conservatory (MaGK), honoured culture worker of Russia.

Alexandr Morduhovich born at 28 march 1946 year in Zlatoust town, Chelyabinsk state, Russia. At 1964 graduated from the Magnitogorsk Musical College named after Glinka by two specialties: the bayan and the piano. At 1971 graduated from the Gorky (Nizhny Novgorod) Conservatory named after Glinka. 1995 graduated from Nizhny Novgorod Conservatory post-graduate study. Since 1970 worked as educator of the Russian folk instruments section of the Magnitogorsk Musical College. Right now he is senior lecturer of the Magnitogorsk State Conservatory. Honoured culture worker of Russia from 1995. The winner of diploma at the All-Russian Contest in Moscow at 2000. The winner of diploma at the international Contest of bayan-accordion-players "The Far East Cup" in Vladivostok, 2000.

Alexandr Morduhovich is one from the leading concert performers of the South Ural, creator of professional concert ensembles: the ensemble of Russian folk instruments «Rodnye Napevy» («The Native Tunes») (1980), the chamber instrumental ensemble «Retro» (1991), the instrumental trio «Accordion-Retro» (1997), the instrumental duet «Expromt» (2000).

Alexandr Morduhovich is known as avowed arranger and concertmaster, collaborated with leading Magnitogorsk solo-vocalists and the Male Vocal Ensemble «Mettalurg». With last he gave performances on a tour in the Russia and abroad.

Since 80’s Alexandr Morduhovich started intensive composer activity. The energy source for that were the brilliant natural ability of the musician to extemporization. Among the produced of the author musical compositions from different genres: orchestra and ensembles compositions, concert’s and chamber’s, instrumental and vocal writings.

The best compositions are included in the repertoire of famous soloist-performers and artistic groups of Russia, are published in central and local publishing houses, are recorded to disks, tapes and CDs.

The composer has released more than 20 author’s collections. Yearly author’s concerts of the musician becomes a recitals.
