Music

Neither "minimalism," "serialism," "neo-Romanticism" or any other "-ism," McLoskey’s music has an emotional intensity that appeals to academic and amateur alike, defying traditional stylistic-pigeonholes.

Life

Lansing D. McLoskey has received numerous national and international awards for his compositions. His music has been performed across the United States and in Argentina, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Holland, Italy and South Africa. He has received grants and commissions from The Barlow Endowment, ASCAP, and the National Endowment for the Arts, among others. McLoskey studied music at U.C. Santa Barbara, U.S.C. School of Music, and the Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen. Currently he is a Ph.D. candidate at Harvard University.
