I am proud to say that I took part, as an Alto Clarinetist in my high school band. We received a Superior rating, and recorded an album in 1979 for the performance of The Seventh Seal, by McBeth, Williamsburg Suite, by Sousa, and Overture in C minor by Tchicovsky. This was a very soul stirring time for me! Under the direction of John Clement...we brought the house down at LSU! I shall never forget the jubilation of that day!

kaddish and others...

I was very lucky to be able to play William McBeth compositions in high school and at delta state university (1982-1986); kaddish, Masque, Beowolf... Feast of Trumpets.. I love his music and If I could find it I'd buy it.
Thanks to mr band Directors York Wilborn (high school) and
Dr. William Bill Clark (DSU/NMSU), I will always feel these songs in my heart...

Kaddish

Back in '77, McBeth presented the piece for Kaddish, for the Delta State Band in MS, the most beautiful piece I've enjoyed that has such boldness, and feeling. I also enjoyed participating and the pleasure ofperforming in the band for his debut on Kaddish.
