A. Mathieu

I first heard a composition by Mathieu in NYC, played by the NY Symphony conducted by Andrew Davis. It was in the early 1980's. It was that evening that Eugene Ormandy died - it was announced at the beginning of the concert which was dedicated to him.

I did not keep the program and could not remember the title of the piece by Mathieu. I couldn't find out anything about the composer or his music. I was greatly impressed with the music. I am glad to see that he is gaining recognition.

Wake up!!!

He is one of the best modern composer i've ever seen. Listen to his piano concerts!!! I can't belive that he isn't well known. Lets change it!! play his tunes!!
