(27 March 2007)Avant garde label Under the Asphalt will release one new CD each month by New York contemporary classical composer Jasun Martz.
The first release is a new pressing of the The Pillory/The Battle performed by The Intercontinental Philharmonic Orchestra. Several of the recordings relate to Mr. Martz’s work with Frank Zappa and Michael Jackson and his collaboration with French modern artist Jean Dubuffet (who, before he died, created the cover artwork especially for several of Mr. Martz’s recordings).

Life
Eclectic New York based contemporary classical/avant-garde composer whose work most resembles Charles Ives and Penderecki. Is also known for his work in the rock music area (has worked with Frank Zappa, Michael Jackson and even co-arranged "We built this city on rock and roll".)
Also an internationally collected contemporary painter and sculptor known for his "raw art" portraits of New York, London and Paris subway passengers .
