Product Description:
Recorded by the Polish Audiovisual Publishers, the concert held by the Kronos Quartet on 11 November 2006 at the Second Polish Music Festival in Cracow, was entirely devoted to works by Polish composers. Four masterly and extremely different scores represent a significant part of the Polish repertoire for string quartet written between 1960-2006. Four masterly and extremely different string quartets by Polish composers: from the cornerstones of the sixties by Witold Lutoslawski and Krzysztof Penderecki to the recent Kronos Quartet commissions - works by Henryk Mikolaj G?recki and Pawel Mykietyn - in a visionary performance by the Kronos Quartet.
