Life

Clement Loret was born in Dendermonde (called Termonde in French), Belgium, in 1833. He was an organ pupil of Lemmens. Loret taught at the Ecole Niedermeyer, where one of his pupils was Gigout. Loret was organist of St. Louis-d’Antin, Panthéon, and Notre Dame des Victoires. He died in Colombes, France, in 1909. (From: "Organ Literature" by Corliss Arnold (Scarecrow Press, 1973), page 460.)
