Wrote five Concertos-Symphoniques for piano and orchestra, a violin concerto "Eroica", numerous piano solo pieces, chamber music and operas. He was known as the "English Liszt".

Wikipedia and other sources give 6 February as Litolff’s birthday, but Groves Music gives 7 August.
