For use in piano teaching he wrote Sonatinas op. 4, op. 49, op. 66, op. 132, op. 149, op. 202, Ballszene op. 14, Kleine Blumen, Kleine Bl

Life

He worked until his death as a conductor, composer and organ player in Breslau, now Wroclaw, Poland.

Pupil of Karow at Bunzlau; Dehn at Berlin; and Mosewius, Baumgart and Adolf Hesse at Breslau, where he became cantor and organist of the Church of the 11,000 Virgins. Conducted the Sangerbund. His works consist of many popular piano pieces, psalms, and choral works. A few of his most notable piano novelties include: Gypsy Dance (1914), three Sonatinas op. 4, Scherzo op.24, ‘La Cascatelle’ op. 19, Sechs Figurinen, Abenlied, and Auf der Wiese Herzenwunsche, to name a few.
