Life
Darin Lewis holds a Master’s degree in Piano Performance from Yale University and a Master’s degree in Composition from the City College of New York, where he studied with David Del Tredici.
Mr. Lewis has composed over 100 works, ranging from large-scale symphonic and choral works, to a large number of sacred octavos. As a frequently commissioned composer, Mr. Lewis’ works are being heard throughout the U.S. and his works are making their way onto State and Competition repertoire lists. His works are available through Lewis INK Press (lewisinkpress.com) and he is currently negotiating distribution rights with several major choral distributors.
He is currently Artist-in-Residence at the Horace Mann School in New York, Artistic Director of the Simpatico Chamber Ensemble, Director of Music at St. Francis Church in Stamford, CT, and is completing his dissertation towards a Doctorate of Music Education from Boston University.
